The forecast stayed put

Take-Two reported $1.39 billion in first-quarter fiscal 2027 Net Bookings, slightly above its guidance range. Strauss Zelnick again pointed to the November 19 launch of Grand Theft Auto VI while reiterating the company's annual outlook.

Reuters reported that management characterized GTA VI preorder demand as unprecedented. Take-Two's formal earnings release does not convert that enthusiasm into a higher annual bookings target.

The investor calendar still lists PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as the launch platforms.

The initial transaction starts at $79.99 in the US

Rockstar's Standard Edition is priced at $79.99 in the United States. The $99.99 Ultimate Edition layers exclusive vehicles, weapons, apparel and activities into Jason and Lucia's story.

At present, Rockstar describes GTA VI itself as a single-player experience. It has not attached an announced multiplayer product or release schedule to the November launch.

The scale surrounding that single-player release is already unusual. Take-Two's investor materials put lifetime Grand Theft Auto franchise sell-in above 470 million units, with GTA V approaching 230 million on its own.

Rockstar is giving Netflix a head start

The August 27 Extended Look premieres at 3 PM ET on Netflix. Rockstar does not put the same presentation on its own YouTube channel and GTA VI site until 9 PM ET.

It is a six-hour exclusivity window for a platform that normally sits outside the direct game-marketing chain.

The physical box is really a distribution wrapper for the download

Rockstar starts shipping the boxed version on November 12, the same day digital preload opens. There is no disc inside; buyers receive a code for the digital game.

Rockstar says the purpose is to let physical customers preload. It has not officially said that the code-in-box format was chosen to prevent early copies or leaks, despite speculation around that explanation.
